Our regular events are:010 Regatta
Our 2010 regatta will be held at 10am on Saturday 9 January 2010. This will be a fantastic day of activities for the entire family with yacht and power boat races, canoe races and swimming competition for all to take part in.
Children can take part in a treasure hunt and sand castle competitions. Many families find it a great opportunity to just sit on the beach and be entertained by all the events. There are also raffles and sausage sizzle and soft drinks.
This is the biggest regatta and picnic on Waiheke and has been going since 1947!
Club picnic and cruise
Every year club members get together and cross to Watson Bay on the opposite side of Rocky Bay (a mere couple of hundred meters). You can go by boat or by car. All members are welcome. Bring your own food and wine and enjoy socialising and a swim. This will be held in February- to be confirmed.
Fisho of the year competition
This is a year long competition which involves prizes for the heaviest snapper caught in sight of Koi Island. To enter pay you pay $25 to Ray Smith phone 372 6778. Entries for the next season start on the date of the AGM, 14 November.
Fishing competition
Family Fishing Contest Saturday 13th March 2010.
Start time 6.00am, weigh-in by 2pm.
High tide 6.44 am, low 12.44. This is a one day event with mystery prizes for heaviest fish, heaviest snapper, lucky participant etc so everyone is a winner.
Mid winter dinner
This is held in the colder months in the Rocky Bay hall. An excellent night of entertainment for all.
AGM
Annual General Meeting for members will be held in the hall on 14 November
